Introducing Texas Wild

More than a year ago, we presented a wild idea to Texas Parks & Wildlife Foundation. What if we created an album to celebrate 100 years of Texas State Parks? Texas music is as diverse as our wildlife. And an album would be a way to introduce the Parks to a wider audience and raise money to conserve them at the same time. The Foundation jumped on the idea and together we began to figure out how to do it.

Today, the first song from the Texas Wild album was released — “(Hey Baby) Que Paso” performed by Fat Tony featuring Paul Wall with members of Grupo Fantasma, The Texas Gentleman, and Sir Woman and produced by Walker Lukens.

The single cover art is by Mishka Westell. And it will be one of four covers in total, with the full album art featuring a mockingbird — both a song bird and the Texas State Bird.

The full album is coming soon and features other wild collaborations with Texas musicians Ryan Bingham, Adrian Quesada, Sir Woman, Shakey Graves, Luna Luna and The Toadies just to name a few.
