Going with Butler

After reflecting on our own brand and doing a lot of listening, we’re proud to reintroduce ourselves as Butler: a brand development studio who creates value for brands by valuing people.


Formerly known as The Butler Bros, we've evolved to better reflect our team and the unique value our work creates for clients.

Today you will notice some subtle changes to the branding of our studio. For starters, we’ve dropped “The” and “Bros” from our identity. While my brother Marty and I are still very much engaged in the operation of our business, we are not the only ones driving it forward. We’ve chosen to embrace the ambition of our team and create a space for them to self-identify more profoundly without walking away from the reputation we’ve built from our base of operations in Austin over the past 19 years. Now, we are simply doing business as Butler. We are a brand development studio who creates value by valuing people. Our own. And those of our clients. We would not be here without the challenges our clients have trusted our team to work into with them. Their success is ours, and we are grateful.

As we move forward, we are looking for the meaningful challenges that will excite our team's deepest desire to develop branding and communications work that creates value. The truth is the world is rife with such challenges. Much of our current work and volunteerism is focused on inclusion, conservation, education, and placemaking. All of this work has stakeholder complexity that must be embraced, wrestled with, and learned from to ensure a chance of value creation. That is what we wake up every day prepared to do. We hope you'll consider sharing your challenges with Butler. We'll be listening when you do.
